Whether in the medical industry, auto parts, or electrical device production workshops, pad printing equipment is operating efficiently and stably, producing clear and uniform markings. Equipment performance is critical, but pad printing heads and scraper blades are core consumables, and their daily maintenance is directly related to printing quality and equipment life. Based on many years of on-site service experience, the OLAT technical team has sorted out a set of practical maintenance points for customers.
Pad printing head: soft parts, careful care
The pad printing head is responsible for the key task of "taking ink" from the steel plate to "discharging ink" on the product. Its surface condition directly affects the degree of pattern restoration. OLAT technicians recommend that before using a new rubber head, use a weakly corrosive solvent such as white oil to wipe the printing surface to remove release agent residue and ensure smooth ink transfer. In daily use, you should avoid scratching the surface of the rubber head with rough and sharp objects. After printing, clean the remaining ink with a weak solvent in time. When selecting a rubber head, it is necessary to match the appropriate hardness and shape according to the graphic area and product surface. Although a rubber head that is too soft has a good initial transfer effect, its wear resistance and solvent resistance will be reduced accordingly, and its service life will be shortened.
Squeegee blade: Precisely scrape ink, check regularly
The scraper blade is responsible for scraping off the ink in the non-image and text areas of the steel plate. Its sharpness and flatness determine the clarity of the printing lines. If the scraper blade is chipped or worn, it will cause the scraper to be dirty, resulting in rough edges or redundant lines on the pattern. The OLAT team recommends that the scraper blade and ink tray should be cleaned after daily shutdown to prevent the ink from drying out and affecting the next use. At the same time, regularly check the condition of the scraper blade edge. If any wear or chip is found, replace it in time to ensure stable printing accuracy.
With professional technical support and systematic operation training, OLAT helps customers establish standardized consumable maintenance procedures so that the equipment is always in good operating condition and provides a solid guarantee for stable production.
