Environmentally friendly pad printing is not a single concept, but a system built by materials, equipment and processes.
1. Environmentally friendly materials (core in core)
Water-based Inks: Use water as the main diluent to replace most organic solvents. Therefore, VOCs emissions are extremely low and almost odorless, greatly improving the workshop working environment. It is one of the most mainstream environmentally friendly inks.
UV-LED Inks: This ink contains no solvent. Its curing principle is that under the irradiation of UV-LED light source at a specific wavelength, the photoinitiator in the ink reacts, causing the ink to instantly change from liquid to solid state. Zero VOCs emissions are achieved and the energy consumption is extremely low.
Environmentally friendly cleaning agent: Use high biodegradability and low toxicity cleaning agents to replace traditional strong solvents, and are used to clean oil pans and glue heads to reduce the production of hazardous waste.
2. Energy-saving and efficient equipment
Servo Motor Driver: Traditional pad printing machines use pneumatic motors and require continuous operation of air compressors, which consumes very much power. The servo motor only consumes electricity when it needs to operate, and the energy-saving effect can reach more than 50%, and it can operate quietly and more accurately.
UV-LED curing system: Compared with traditional mercury lamps, UV-LED light sources start/off instantly, consume low energy, do not produce ozone, have a long life, and are cold light sources that will not have thermal deformation effects on thermally sensitive substrates (such as plastics).
Enclosed cleaning system: Some high-end equipment is equipped with ink sealing systems to reduce the volatility of ink exposure to the air, and integrates automatic cleaning function to reduce the use and waste of cleaning agents.
3. Optimize process and management
Precise ink management: Increase transfer rate and reduce ink waste by improving ink formulation.
Waste classification and treatment: Classify and collect waste ink, waste plate, cleaning materials, etc. generated during the production process, and hand them over to a qualified organization for treatment to avoid environmental pollution.
