In industrial production, the stable operation of pad printing equipment is directly related to production line efficiency and product quality. When equipment operates abnormally, it is the core ability of equipment managers and technicians to quickly and accurately locate the source of the fault and implement effective treatment. The following provides a set of systematic analysis and solutions for several typical types of action failures.
1. The equipment is completely unresponsive and the electronic control interface has no display.
If there is no display on the control panel and no movement of the entire machine after the device is powered on, the source of the fault is usually concentrated in the power supply link. The first thing to do is to check whether the external power cord connection is tight and whether there is any sign of looseness or breakage. Secondly, check whether the main power switch of the equipment is damaged. Its contacts may be oxidized and failed due to long-term use. If all of the above are normal, there is a high probability that the circuit protection component-the fuse has blown due to current overload or aging. At this time, you should cut off the power supply and replace it with a fuse of the same specifications and parameters. Do not blindly use substitutes with larger current specifications to avoid expanding the scope of damage.
2. The electronic control display is normal, but the actuator has no action.
This condition indicates that the equipment control system is receiving power, but the drive system is not responding. The most common cause is abnormal external compressed air supply. It is necessary to confirm that the main air source valve is open and observe the air pressure gauge on the equipment to ensure that the air supply pressure is maintained within the rated working range required by the equipment, usually 0.4 to 0.6 MPa. If the air pressure is normal, the fault may exist in the electrical-pneumatic conversion link, such as the solenoid valve core that controls the air flow direction is stuck or the coil is burned, and the foot switch contact that serves as the start signal has poor contact. You can further confirm by manually testing the solenoid valve action, or using a multimeter to detect the switch continuity.
3. The equipment action is interrupted and a single cycle cannot be completed.
After the equipment is started, it performs an action and then stops, unable to complete the entire printing cycle. This is usually caused by the loss of the stroke detection signal. Modern pad printing equipment relies on position sensors such as proximity switches to confirm whether each component is moving in place. When the sensing metal piece fixed on the moving parts becomes loose or displaced, or the sensitivity of the proximity switch itself decreases or is damaged, the control system will not be able to receive the "in position" signal, thus interrupting subsequent procedures. The solution is to recalibrate and tighten the sensing piece, adjust the proximity switch to the appropriate detection distance, and replace new components if necessary.
4. Abnormal vibration and noise during operation
The equipment produces violent impact sounds and vibrations during reciprocating motion, mostly due to failure of the motion buffer or excessive driving force. If the internal seal of the hydraulic buffer, which is responsible for absorbing the inertia of moving parts, is damaged and leaks oil, it will lose its buffering effect and cause a hard impact. In addition, if the system operating air pressure is adjusted too high, the impact force of the cylinder will increase dramatically. At this time, the buffer should be checked or replaced, and the air pressure should be accurately adjusted to the standard value with a pressure regulating valve.
5. Specific execution components (such as rubber heads and scrapers) do not move.
When only individual components such as the rubber head or squeegee do not move, the problem is usually limited to the corresponding pneumatic circuit and control signal. It is necessary to check whether the solenoid valve and cylinder in the circuit have failed due to foreign matter jamming or sealing ring wear. At the same time, confirm whether the key switch or position sensor that controls the action can output signals normally. The maintenance strategy is to disassemble and clean stuck parts and replace electrical or pneumatic components that are confirmed to be damaged.
By establishing the above-mentioned "phenomenon-cause-countermeasures" standardized troubleshooting process, and cooperating with daily preventive maintenance of air sources, lines and sensors, the unplanned downtime rate of pad printing equipment can be significantly reduced and the continuity and stability of production operations can be guaranteed.
